I draw my inspiration from my environment. My art studio is surrounded by a garden I tend. I use my digital camera to document what is growing there. I also seize any opportunity I get to take lots of pictures of my boys and their friends, as they run around in the garden and play in and around our pond. Later I use these images in my painting compositions, by projecting them onto my canvases. This allows me to play around with sizing and placement, before outlining final figures and flowers.
